About
The Traka is Spain's most prestigious gravel event and one of the most celebrated in Europe, based in Girona, universally recognised as a global hub for cycling. Running from 30 April to 3 May, it brings together riders from around the world across four distances ranging from 100 to 560 kilometres, catering to every level of ambition. The 360-kilometre option climbs 4,500 metres, while the 200-kilometre route surpasses 2,000 metres. The landscapes of the Gavarres massif, the Baix Empordà, and the wider Girona countryside provide spectacular riding on forest tracks between ancient farmhouses and through classic Mediterranean scenery. A must-enter on the global gravel racing calendar and part of the Gravel Earth Series. At Push Rider, targeting the 200 or the 360 activates all three pillars of the 12-week programme: watt- and FTP-based periodisation across four phases, race-specific nutrition with hydration, fuelling, and supplementation calibrated to each distance's demands, and the coach's psychological work on TrainingPeaks to arrive in Girona with a clear race strategy and resilience fully tested.

How to prepare for The Traka using the PUSH TRAINING 360 method?
The PUSH TRAINING 360 method structures 12 weeks of preparation with weekly review across four phases: aerobic base, threshold building, specificity load, and tapering. For the 200 km distance with 2,000 m of elevation in the Emporda region, the specificity load includes long rides with accumulated fatigue; for the 360 km and 560 km distances, the aerobic base phase is extensive and the specificity load incorporates sleep management and continuous fuelling. Nutrition follows three phases: pre-event loading, in-race fuelling, and post-race recovery. Pacing strategy for The Traka prioritises a conservative rhythm in the first hours and wind management on the coastal sections.
