About
The Tierra Estella Epic Gravel starts from Villatuerta in the heart of central Navarre, a transition zone between the Pyrenean valleys and the Ebro basin that combines outstanding scenery with varied and demanding terrain. Three distances are available: 125, 75, and 55 kilometres, with even the shortest option climbing 1,000 metres, giving a clear sense of the technical nature of the routes. The tracks of the Estella-Lizarra region wind through cereal fields, vineyards, oak forests, and medieval villages forming part of the Camino de Santiago. Accessible to a wide range of riders in a landscape of exceptional historical and natural value. At Push Rider, the range of distances makes Tierra Estella a versatile tool for the load blocks within the 12-week programme: the coach checks on TrainingPeaks which distance and TSS fit the season's current phase, and the phased nutrition plan is adjusted so that inter-stage recovery becomes part of the training process itself.

How to prepare for the Tierra Estella Epic Gravel using the PUSH TRAINING 360 method?
The PUSH TRAINING 360 method structures 12 weeks of preparation with weekly review across four phases: aerobic base, threshold building, specificity load, and tapering. For the long distance of 125 km in Navarre, the specificity load includes sessions on rolling terrain with pace changes; for the shorter distances (75 km and 55 km), the tapering is briefer and relative intensity higher. Nutrition follows three phases: pre-event loading, in-race fuelling, and post-race recovery. Pacing strategy prioritises a controlled start and active management of the characteristic rolling hills around Estella.
