About

MEGRE Gravel is Lithuania's most competitive gravel race and a registered member of the Gravel Earth Series, giving it international visibility on a mid-to-high-level calendar. For 2026 the event moves to a new venue in Anykščiai, the main town of the Utena region, surrounded by some of the densest forests in the Baltic states and characterised by rolling hills and gravel tracks that challenge the flat image often associated with Lithuania. Three distances of 50, 100 and 150 kilometres ensure the event welcomes both amateur riders and those targeting the podium. Total elevation is still to be confirmed. The range of distances makes MEGRE a valuable mid-season load test: Push Rider uses it to assess each rider's response to accumulated fatigue at the chosen distance, then adjusts the remaining specificity or tapering blocks in the weekly coach review to fine-tune form before the main objective.
