About
La Conquista Bikepacking is an unsupported ultra-distance event covering 650 km and 9,000 metres of climbing, departing from Burgos and winding through the plateau and mountain landscapes of northern Castile. This is a pure endurance challenge for self-sufficient cyclists who excel at multi-day energy management and solo navigation in remote terrain. Castilian tracks, ancient drovers' roads and historic interior towns set the stage across a journey requiring physical preparation and mental resilience. Push Rider's 12-week Training 360 plan ties the aerobic base and ultra-specific phases to a three-stage nutrition protocol —adaptation, activation and race-specific— with weekly coach review of sustainable power targets and autonomous nutrition strategy. Only experienced bikepackers with proven multi-day autonomy should consider this event.

How to prepare for La Conquista Bikepacking with PUSH TRAINING 360?
With 650 km and 9,000 m of elevation spread over 4 days in an Ultra Bikepacking format, preparation demands the 12-week PUSH TRAINING 360 plan with weekly review pushed to its maximum requirements. The 4 phases are: broad aerobic base to absorb very long daily hours in the saddle, threshold construction to pedal efficiently over Castilian rolling terrain, specificity loading with consecutive-day blocks carrying panniers to simulate on-route autonomy, and a taper in the days before the start. The 3-phase nutrition approach is decisive: maximising glycogen stores beforehand, combining carbohydrates and fats continuously throughout the 4 days, and prioritising overnight protein recovery. Pacing in an ultra of this scale requires a very conservative pace to finish without collapsing in the final kilometres.
