About
The Salagou lake, with its striking red volcanic shores in the Languedoc hinterland, provides one of southern France's most unusual backdrops for a gravel event. GravelMan Salagou runs as a self-supported bikepacking race with distances of 60, 120, 200, 350 and 500 km and up to 6,500 metres of elevation gain. The volcanic ruffes terrain of the Herault, dusty red tracks and Mediterranean light make this one of the most visually distinctive events on the French gravel scene. Full self-sufficiency over long distances tests nutritional management and rest strategy as much as fitness; at Push Rider, the specific nutrition phase and sports psychology work — fatigue management and resilience — are reviewed weekly with the coach so that decision-making under pressure is never the weakest link.
