About
The Finnish gravel season opens in Porvoo, just 50 kilometres from Helsinki, with Gravel Primavera Borga. Four distances of 50, 100, 150, and 300 km fan out across the rural roads of Uusimaa, crossing conifer forests, historic farmsteads, and wooded coastal stretches of southern Finland under the generous May daylight. A Nordic Gravel Series round, it serves as many Scandinavian cyclists' first real form check after winter. At Push Rider we position Gravel Primavera Borga at the end of the aerobic base phase of the 12-week plan: it is the ideal moment to validate with real race data the FTP built over winter before entering the threshold-building phase, and to refine the race nutrition strategy with the weekly coach review.

Nutrition is organised in 3 phases: pre-race loading, in-race intake, and recovery. The weekly review is especially important for this early-season event to track progressive fitness development.
