About

The Sauerland Gravel 200 is a single-push ultra challenge: 200 km and 2,000 m of elevation through the forests and hills of the Sauerland, starting from Brilon. With no stage breaks or cutoff points, the event demands full self-management over the course of a long day in the saddle. The Sauerland's wide conifer forests and reddish-brown dirt tracks provide an ideal setting for pure ultra-endurance riding or lightweight bikepacking. Not to be confused with the Sauerland Gravel Event in Olsberg, this is a starkly different proposition: more solitary and more austere. In Push Training 360 the 200 km preparation includes long sessions exceeding four hours with a three-phase periodised nutrition plan, because in an ultra the fuelling strategy and mental resilience are as decisive as any watt of FTP.
