About

Gravel Weekend Latvia is the country's first UCI Gravel World Series event, a landmark for Baltic cycling that attracted 500 riders from 24 nations in its debut edition. Based in Tukums in the Zemgale region, the race offers distances of 75 and 140 kilometres through the terrain that defines Latvian landscapes: birch and pine forests alternating with open fields, packed gravel paths and forest roads where average speeds can be surprisingly high despite the flat profile. A Friday prologue adds an urban racing element before the main competition days. Latvia's predominantly flat profile makes this a sustained high-speed event, and Push Rider prepares for it through the threshold-build phase focused on flat-terrain watt output: the coach develops sustained FTP power and group race-strategy skills to extract every advantage from terrain where tactical details decide the outcome.
