About
The Wicklow Mountains, rising sharply south of Dublin, offer surprisingly technical and varied gravel terrain. The Gravel Ride Series round in Glenmalure features three waymarked, GPS-tracked distances of 43, 63, and 103 km through one of the island's wildest national parks. Forest tracks, glacial valleys, and open ridgelines with Atlantic views alternate throughout, mixing fast descents with honest climbs. Part of the Irish Gravel Ride Series, the event balances organised structure with accessible participation. At Push Rider we train the combination of watt-based climbing power for Wicklow's ascents and technical descending skill within the specificity phase of the 12-week plan, with weekly coach review to adjust load according to the actual course profile: two capacities trained together that Wicklow's terrain demands consistently from start to finish.
