Gravel cycling coach
360 coaching for serious amateur endurance cyclists with a specific race target and no time to waste. 8 spots per edition. No automation.
What a cycling coach actually does
A cycling coach designs your training load week by week with a concrete objective. It is not a PDF generated in 30 seconds. It is someone who reviews your activity files, identifies the pattern stopping you from improving and adjusts the stimulus before the mistake repeats.
The real work includes: load block planning and recovery cycles, weekly adjustment based on how you responded, nutrition analysis as part of the training process (not a bolt-on), and mental preparation for 6 to 12-hour races where self-management decides more than raw power.
What distinguishes a specialist is integration of all three axes. Training hard and eating badly is the formula for stagnation. PUSH TRAINING 360 starts from that premise because we see it in every athlete who arrives asking for help.
Online coach, AI coach or training plan PDF
A generic PDF plan or automated training app is a valid tool if you are in your first year of cycling, training for health without a target race and do not need individualised adjustment. If that is your situation, you do not need a human coach. We say this plainly.
AI coaching services have improved considerably. They generate coherent volumes, calculate TSS and distribute load reasonably. What they do not do is interpret why your climbing power has not moved in three weeks, identify that nutrition is limiting recovery, or help you manage the psychological weight of a 200 km race.
Push Rider does not compete with 30 EUR/month plans. Ours is a 3-month programme with a dedicated human coach, weekly data review, race-specific nutrition plan and support through the hardest mental phases. The price is different because the work is different.
If you cannot commit 3 months, we will not accept you.
Not marketing. The programme needs enough time to produce real adaptations. An athlete who enters knowing this gets results. One looking for shortcuts does not.
Gravel specialist: race-specific preparation
Gravel is not road racing with dirt. It is a discipline with its own physical demands that road training does not cover by default. Hours of accumulated vibration fatigue your trapezius, triceps and lower back before your legs give out. Nutrition for a 10-hour race in remote terrain without guaranteed feed stations cannot be improvised on the day.
Races like The Traka or Santa Vall demand self-sufficiency: carrying calculated food, managing mechanical problems without team support, maintaining focus after 8 hours of effort. Preparing for that requires having trained it, not having improvised it.
Every Push Rider programme is built around a specific race as its axis. Traka 2027 preparation is different from Santa Vall. Different terrain, different climate, different race management. See the full programme to understand how it works.
How much does a cycling coach cost
In the market you will find three clear tiers. Automated training apps and PDF plans sit between 10 and 30 EUR/month. Personalised coaching with basic follow-up — a plan adjusted every 4 weeks — ranges from 60 to 120 EUR/month. Full coaching with a dedicated human, weekly data review, nutrition included and psychological support goes above 150 EUR/month at most serious providers.
The difference between the second and third tier is not just price: it is the depth of analysis and the number of variables the coach manages. A 60 EUR/month plan reviews load. A 150 EUR/month plan reviews load, nutrition, recovery and mindset.
Push Rider operates at the third tier, with the added focus of a fixed 3-month programme built around one specific race. For current pricing, visit the programme page or apply directly.
What you need to know before applying
How much does an online cycling coach cost?
Generic training plans and automated apps sit between 10 and 30 EUR/month. Personalised coaching with a human coach reviewing your data weekly ranges from 80 to 250 EUR/month depending on depth. Push Rider is a fixed 3-month programme with a dedicated human coach, weekly data review, race-specific nutrition and mental preparation included. Pricing is published when we open spots. See the programme page for details.
Is it worth hiring a cycling coach?
If you train fewer than 6 hours a week and have no target race, a generic plan is enough. If you have spent one or two seasons repeating the same mistakes — bonking on long rides, overreaching in spring, not knowing what to eat in a 4-hour race — a coach changes the outcome. The real difference is not the plan: it is the weekly feedback and real-time adjustment.
What makes a gravel cycling coach different?
Gravel demands preparation that road training does not cover by default. Hours of vibration fatigue your trapezius, triceps, lower back and cervical extensors before your legs. Nutrition for a 10-hour race without guaranteed feed stations cannot be improvised on race day. A gravel specialist trains the whole system, not just watts.
What does a complete cycling coaching programme include?
A serious programme includes load periodisation (base, intensity and taper blocks), nutritional planning aligned with training (not as an afterthought), and mental preparation for long events. PUSH TRAINING 360 integrates all three pillars from day one because a failure in any one of them prevents the others from working.
How many training hours per week does the programme require?
The functional minimum is 6 hours per week. The plan adapts to your real availability, not your wishlist. What is non-negotiable is commitment for 3 months. Without that, we do not accept the application.
Who is this programme not for?
Cyclists looking for a generic training resource. Those without a specific target race. Those who cannot commit 3 months. Those expecting results without changing nutrition. Push Rider is selective by design: 8 spots per edition means only those who can genuinely benefit from the programme are accepted.
Can I apply if I do not have a power meter?
Yes, though a power meter provides the most useful data for the coach. Training by heart rate and RPE works equally well in the programme. What you do need is a GPS device that records your rides and the willingness to share that data week by week.
How is an online cycling coach different from an AI coach?
AI coaching tools have improved significantly. They generate coherent volume, calculate TSS and distribute load reasonably. What they do not do is interpret why your climbing power has stalled for three weeks, identify that your nutrition is limiting recovery, or help you manage the fear of facing a 200 km race. A human coach reads the whole picture, not just the numbers.
If you have a race and want to be ready for it
We do not accept everyone. Apply if you have a specific race in mind and can commit 3 months of real work.
