TL;DR. Santa Vall 2027 registration opens on July 29, 2026 at 12:00 CEST on santavall.com. The race: February 6-7, 2027, two mandatory stages (120 km + 82 km) out of Sant Gregori, Girona. Pricing is confirmed at opening (reference from previous editions: 90-110 euros). Klassmark spots vanish fast — The Traka 2027 sold out two distances in a week — so the strategy is simple: July 29, 12:00, in front of your screen.
Santa Vall opens the European gravel season. Two stages through the Llémena valley in the middle of February, organised by the same team behind The Traka. And like everything Klassmark touches lately, registration has become a race of its own: before you fight Girona’s mud, you fight for a bib.
This guide covers everything you need to get a spot. No filler.
When does Santa Vall 2027 registration open?
Tuesday, July 29, 2026 at 12:00 (CEST), on santavall.com. The organisers announced it on short notice — barely two weeks — which is the usual Klassmark pattern.
The race takes place on February 6-7, 2027 in Sant Gregori, ten minutes from Girona.
How does registration work, step by step?
- Before the 29th: create your account on the registration platform the organisers use (Klassmark usually works with Rockthesport, the same platform as The Traka). Having it ready saves you the minutes others lose filling in forms.
- Have your details at hand: ID, contact details and card. If you hold a racing licence, keep it close; if not, the organisers usually offer day insurance.
- On the 29th at 11:55, open santavall.com and wait for the gate to open. Do not leave it for the afternoon.
- Confirm and save the receipt. That confirmation email is your bib until February.
Will it sell out? What the precedent says
Almost certainly, and this time there is fresh data behind it: The Traka 2027 opened registration on July 16, 2026 and sold out the 100 and 200 distances in roughly one week. Santa Vall is the season opener from the same organiser, with the same international peloton looking at Girona.
Translation: this is not a registration you can leave “for the weekend”. If you want to be on the start line on February 6, the real window is July 29 itself.
How much does it cost?
The organisers publish pricing at opening. As a reference, in previous editions the two-stage pack was around 90-110 euros — pending official confirmation, check santavall.com on the 29th.
Santa Vall registration covers both stages: there is no single-stage option.
What exactly are you buying?
Two days of gravel through the Llémena valley with feed stations en route (including a full one with a mechanic point on Stage 1), medical point, mechanical assistance, cloakroom, bike wash area and hot food at the finish on Saturday. The full breakdown of the course, terrain and logistics is in our race page.
What the bib does not buy: the legs to chain 120 km and 82 km across two February days. That gets trained.
What if you miss out?
- Watch the official channels. Organisers sometimes release bibs from cancellations or open a waiting list.
- Look at the calendar with perspective. The Spanish winter-spring gravel season has more dates: Gravel Desert in Monegros (April) or The Traka itself (April 30 - May 2, with the long distance still available as of today).
- Above all: do not let it happen again. Openings are announced with days of notice and spots last hours or days. The fix is hearing about it before everyone else.
We alert you to every opening
Spanish gravel registration has become a sport of reflexes: The Traka, Santa Vall, Badlands — announcements with two weeks’ notice and spots gone in days. We track all of it: dates, openings, lotteries and waiting lists.

- Already have (or about to get) a bib, and want to arrive in February genuinely prepared? PUSH TRAINING 360 prepares the whole race — training, nutrition and mindset — with limited spots per edition. Apply here.
You have your bib: now what?
Santa Vall is raced in February, which puts the serious preparation block in November: twelve weeks to build long-ride endurance and, above all, to train what decides this race — recovery between stages. On day two you start with day one’s fatigue in your legs; effort management, post-stage nutrition and sleep weigh as much as the watts.
We will publish the full Santa Vall preparation guide in autumn. Until then, you know where it all starts: July 29, 12:00.
